Dr. Richa Agnihotri, MD, FRCPC, DipABLM is a consultant community paediatrician practicing in the Niagara region. She completed her medical school in the United Kingdom, followed by General Paediatrics residency at Western University. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University and is the President of the Community Paediatrics Section of the Canadian Paediatric Society. She is a member of the Early Years Task Force, the Anti-Racism MedEd Working Group, and Sleep Special Interest Group of the Canadian Paediatric Society. She is also a Board Member of the Pediatricians of Ontario section of the Ontario Medical Association.
Having seen many of the downstream effects on the health of kids and adults, her passion lies in upstream prevention. She is certified in both plant based nutrition and healthcare coaching, and is Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine. She utilizes evidence based lifestyle related strategies to collaborate with kids and their families in order to create comprehensive plans that enhance each child’s health and well-being.
She believes in the power of community, and the importance of each member of the “village” in raising a child and recently gave her first TedX Talk at McMaster University, titled, “Children Are The Most Powerful Motivators For Behaviour Change”.
